Why the blog?
The idea of blogging about marathon training comes as part of an experiment whereby I am researching / experiencing how to best prevent, and manage injuries that may occur during marathon training, and how best to maintain oneself optimally throughout this process. I've treated many clients who have trained for a marathon and seen their injuries particularly in the closing stages so I want to see what I can do to help myself in terms or massage (i have friends who can do the bits I can't reach myself!) taping, stretching, strengthening and a varied training programme.
